Coho/US is always looking for passionate and talented folks to help us grow the cohousing movement, from spreading the word and promoting events, writing for our blog and newsletter, conference planning, and tackling administrative responsibilities. We welcome hearing from you, for these or other volunteer jobs you have in mind.

Current volunteer opportunities include:

  • Cohousing Now! e-News
    Our e-newsletter is a community effort. We are seeking editors, contributors, and designers to bolster Cohousing Now’s ability to connect our members and broaden our cohousing world.
  • Blog Writers
    We invite you to share stories and news from your cohousing experiences, from musings and celebrations, to problem-solving issues. We are looking for regular contributors, and help to review and monitor our blogs.
  • Social Media
    Our Facebook and Twitter presence are more than social connecting; many folks are using Coho/US social media to share ideas and solicit advice. Social media is also an excellent connector to the general public to explore cohousing. If you’re are interested in helping monitor and guide, we want to hear from you.
  • Website Content
    Do you enjoy website architecture and enhancing content? Our Technical Director would appreciate support here.
  • Marketing & Design
    In today’s world, raising visibility requires attention-grabbing materials and promotional activities. If you are interested in lending your design or marketing talents, we’d like to hear from you.
  • Coho/US Regional Liaison to the Board
    Liaisons help strengthen relationships between cohousing communities in one our regions and the national association in a particular region, sharing ideas and concerns and helping engage our members in our work.
  • Coho/US Operations
    Do you have experience in business management, finances/accounting, or marketing/communications? We might welcome your assistance in enhancing the association operations.
  • Resource Librarian
    Coho/US serves as a clearinghouse and connector of cohousing resources for our members and the general public. We need help collecting, cataloging and making accessible these resources, primarily through our website.
